The Dial of the Cosmos is a scattered archipelago made up of many small villages. While there are many, villagers rarely leave their respective towns. Instead, they look upwards, towards the stars and the stories they tell.

It is the belief of many in the Cosmos Dial that the stars are those that have left the realm of the living. As a result, many have dedicated themselves to their study, and some have even attuned themselves to their magic. In each village, there is a Seer, a powerful Cosmos Mage who serves as both an interpreter of the stars and their village’s chief line of communication to the Goddess of the Cosmos.

The Dial of the Cosmos is also home to vast troves of knowledge. Often working hand in hand with the traveling bards and storytellers of the Dial, the Keepers tend to the largest library in all the Dials. They often work with Seers to record prophecies and to learn the stories of the souls of the past.

On the whole, life in the Cosmos Dial is a peaceful one. When danger does occur - typically in the form of wildlife or weather - towns will enlist the aid of a Wayfarer, a knight of the Cosmos, that works to handle the situation. These individuals serve to defend the villages from outside threats as best they can.

While most people tend to stay within the safety of their villages, some dare to brave the waters of the Dial and the Dials beyond. Sailors who wish to feel the freedom and challenge of the Dial’s open waters will often assist anyone wishing to travel within the archipelago. The sailors of the Cosmos Dial are some of the only individuals to brave the rapid currents and dangerous rocky coasts within the Dial.
