Player Support
Player support is a team dedicated to player safety and Out Of Character (OOC) conflicts and resolutions. Please do not hesitate to contact our Player Support Team if you need assistance or have any concerns.
Point System
To ensure a positive and respectful environment, The Dial of Ruin utilizes a point-based infraction system. Each type of rule violation is assigned a specific point value based on its severity. Accumulating points can lead to various consequences. 1-2 points will result in communication with the staff team to address the player’s violation, while a 3rd point will temporarily suspend the player from being allowed to attend events or participate in the community. Active points beyond the 3rd will add additional years onto any suspensions from The Dial of Ruin.
Infractions are logged and points are tracked to maintain fairness; they can be viewed at any time by the player or other staff members. If you receive a point, you'll be notified and can appeal if necessary. Each point will become inactive on the player’s record one year after the point was received. Inactive points can still be referenced with repeat violations of a similar manner.
Our point-based infraction system is designed to be flexible to accommodate the unique circumstances of each situation. While each type of infraction has a standard point value, these points can be adjusted based on the context and severity of the violation. Infractions are still recorded for the player and staff records even if no points were assigned from the infraction being downgraded.
Staff infractions can never be downgraded. Our staff members are held to a high standard, staff will receive 2x the points per the infraction. A staff member who has 3 or more points on their profile will be removed from staff and unable to rejoin in the future. A Staff member who has stepped down from staff will have their 2x multiplier removed except under special circumstances.

Warning
Warnings may be issued for violations that are not severe enough to warrant a point themselves. Multiple warnings may result in a point by our Staff team.
1 Point
Minor Infraction
A minor infraction in our community might involve relatively low-impact rules violations or social conduct.
2 Points
Moderate Infraction
A moderate infraction in our community involves behavior that is more disruptive to the community or the safety of the players.
Immediate Ban
Major Infraction
A major infraction in our community involves serious violations that significantly disrupts the environment or harm other members. The offending player will be permanently removed from future events and the community.

Reporting via Ticket System
In the event of OOC conflict, conduct concerns, and/or safety concerns, please go to the #Open-A-Ticket channel under the ‘Important Information’ category in The Dial Of Ruin Discord server. This ticket system will connect you to the Player Support Staff Team. The Player Support Team will review the details of the ticket and begin the investigation process. During this process, the report will be kept confidential from everyone but the parties involved and the Player Support Team.
Our process is as follows:
Investigate the report.
Deliberate internally.
Present findings to the reporter.
Implement changes.
The Player Support Team is: CJ Axten and Liam Grob.
Escalations will be addressed by Bee Faer in most cases, and in severe cases, Atlas Faer.
If there are any tickets that report any crimes breaking California and/or Federal law, the ticket will be immediately escalated to Atlas and Bee to ensure the safety of the individual and community. These will be investigated and resolved in a timely manner before being addressed to the wider community. We promise only necessary details are shared to protect the identity of the parties involved while ensuring we are being transparent about the steps being taken to resolve the issue.
