The Dial Of Ruin

What do you do when the world you know disappears, and you are shown its ugly underbelly?

Step Into Aisorath

The Dial of Ruin is a class-based, lightest touch LARP with a focus on community and safety. Our setting leans toward a unique take on gods, nation interaction, dystopian themes and the Void around it. Our world, Aisorath, focuses on PvE experiences and working together.

Community Tenets

The Dial of Ruin LARP strives to create a space where our LARPers feel safe and welcomed. As a result, there are a few expectations that everyone in attendance is required to follow. Failing to do so will result in possible suspension or ban from the LARP.

Our community tenets are as follows:

  • Respect diversity. We will not tolerate any discrimination or harassment based on race, sex, age, religion, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and expression.

  • Respect the community. Everyone is here to tell a story together and to feel respected while doing so. Everyone at this LARP should prioritize collaboration and community building in their IC and OOC actions. There are no “good” or “bad” sides, only people here to tell a collaborative story.

  • Welcome new players. Always be on the lookout to include new players. Understand that you are expected to give extra effort in assisting new players, even at the sacrifice of some of your plans during the weekend. Include everyone to the best of your ability.

  • No griefing. Griefing is an antagonistic IC action done with the intention to harm an individual’s OOC experience. Do not intentionally destroy or vandalize property, buildings or items that do not belong to you. No “spawn camping” or “kill on sight” parties will be tolerated.

  • Obtain consent for physical roleplay. Always ask for consent before touching someone else. State specifically what you want to do and get an enthusiastic yes, after which point you may touch the person only in the way you specified. Consent is defined as the presence of a yes, rather than the absence of a no.

  • Obtain consent for intense scenes. A scene is considered “intense” if it might involve graphic depictions of violence, harmful language, or other possibly triggering behaviors or subjects. It is required that all participants know the full extent of such topics and that everyone in the scene, PCs and NPCs alike, consent enthusiastically before the scene proceeds.

  • Keep it PG-13. Although we are an 18+ LARP, we try to keep it to a hard PG-13/soft R rating. That means, while there may still be depictions of violence, there should be no sex, sex pantomime, inappropriate gestures, or topics involving sexual acts or genitalia at this LARP.

  • Prioritize your welfare. Make sure you are eating, drinking water, resting enough, and taking care of yourself emotionally throughout the weekend. If you need to leave a scene to take care of yourself, there is no shame in doing so. This should not be used to escape consequences, so please communicate with the other parties involved if you do need to leave a scene for any of these reasons.

  • No alcohol or drugs are allowed on site.
